CIMC Safeway Technologies Has Been Recognized as One of the First Batch of “Excellent Smart Factories” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

On January 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the list of the first batch of “Excellent Smart Factories”, and CIMC Safeway Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CIMC Safeway Technologies”), a subsidiary of CIMC Group, was successfully included in the list with its project of “Smart Factory for Green and Flexible Management and Control of Tank Containers”, which is the first enterprise in CIMC Group that has been recognized under the new regulations on gradient cultivation launched by the MIIT.

About Excellent Smart Factories:

“In October 2024, the MIIT and other five departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Data Administration jointly launched the 2024 Smart Factory Gradient Cultivation Initiative. This initiative involves four levels of cultivation: basic, advanced, excellent, and leading. Simultaneously, the application and selection process for the first batch of Excellent Smart Factories was organized.

An Excellent Smart Factory is required to be at the leading domestic level within the same industry in terms of design of integrated production and operation data, intelligent management and control of manufacturing equipment, online optimization of production processes, comprehensive optimization across the entire product lifecycle and all supply chain links, system-level intelligent application in multiple scenarios, and key technical and economic indicators. It should also play a leading and driving role in the industry.”
